Worth the Wait - PROXY comes to the US

The nastiest name in electro will finally be crossing the Bearing Straight and coming to America. You’ve official been warned. After two years of dropping tracks that made the Bloody Beetroots look soft, Yevgeny Alexandrovitch Pozharnov (Russian enough?) as he is known in his homeland approval for a work visa is the biggest sign of PROGRESS Obama has made since January. Granted all we know about is his set in New York’s famed Terminal 5 for the second edition of HARD NYC, but the fact that he’ll be within US borders gives us hope that he’ll reign in the Sahara and bring one of the most anticipated dj sets in recent memory. I’m hoping for HARD NYC, Coachella, then HARD LA (see below) but it could be weeks till we find out. In the mean time check out a live set from the summer of 08 and some of his best singles/remixes

The Proxy – 8000

The Proxy – Decoy

Boys Noize – Let’s Buy Happiness (Proxy Remix)

Tiga - What Your Need (Proxy Remix)

Digitalism – Homezone (Proxy Remix)

2ManyDJ's Live Recording:

If you liked their set at HARD Haunted Mansion this year this download is a must. Recorded LIVE @ the Rock Werchter Festival in Belgium this past July, the set is similar to their current DVJ set that we saw twice in Los Angeles and had me having flashbacks to their set for the entire hour a half. Enjoy

November 19th 2009.... Unforgetable

Thursday November 19th will forever go down as one of the most memorable days of my music career. After an otherwise normal day of work I took a break to check out Facebook and saw Gary Richards from HARD announcing this:

The much rumored LIVE set from the Bloody Beetroots would be debuting on US shores at the famed Palladium one week after Coachella. Yes Gary, its on and you are fucking killing it right now. Quickly telling all the friends to snatch up the $30 tickets while they lasted, I moved on to Southwest booked by plane tickets and came to the realization that April is gonna be incredible

Next up was Royksopp LIVE at the Regency in San Francisco. Having listened to their Junior album non stop for the past week and hearing rave reviews of their show in LA from the night before, I couldnt wait to see the Norwegian duo for the first time. Their set featured a combination of their older tracks like Eple and Remind Me with newer hits like Happy Up Here and The Girl and the Robot and was incredibly fun to experience live. Wish the crowd woulda been more into it but we pulled up their slack and danced our asses off. COACHELLA 2010 is a must

Starting the day with news of the Beetroots and ending it with a show from Royksopp = awesome

Royksopp - Happy Up Here
Royksopp - This Must Be It
