Watch Yourself - DANGER

France has its fair share of artists turned dj's but few have the range and talent of Frank Rivolre aka Danger. With a style that emulates the 1980's video game start menu songs with modern French electro, the artist sounds a little like Kavinsky but with less edge and more rhythm. So far I've been listening to a few of his tracks after discovering him on the HARD HM poster and I'm impressed. I know you hear that a lot from me, but what can I say, I only post what I like. Going back to his live sets, having watched some videos I can tell you he doesn't play the highest energy set but his natural builds and blending techniques will definitely be a highlight for Friday. If for whatever reason you aren't planning on going to HARD HM, he just added a show at Avalon after his set at HARD so you can catch him there. And I don't really know why he does the mask gimmick that looks kinda like a child version of the Bloody Beetroots masks but hey, he's doing something right and im not going to tell him to change...

And all joking aside, his remix of Boys Noize - Ne.Oh!.Pen is one of the best songs Ive heard in months.

I lay down some f**kin BASS!!!

Hello music lovers!

My name is Paul, and I have joined Bauhaus Beats! I am a musician and tech geek - so naturally most of my posts will relate to the fascinating and constantly evolving world of music and DJ technology. In college I studied Business, Entrepreneurship and Music Industry. Currently I work as a web developer, but music has always been a passion of mine. I started playing piano at the age of 5, and eventually picked up the clarinet, trumpet, and guitar.

I've spent the past few years DJing at clubs and private parties around Los Angeles. I've also been producing my own music including original tracks, remixes, and DJ mix sets. I love learning about new technologies, software, hardware, techniques, and everything else needed to make and share great music. While I try to be as open minded as possible about all the great tools available, my weapon of choice is definitely Ableton Live.

While my posts will usually relate to music technology, from time to time I will also drop some fat beats for all to enjoy.

Here's my first post: Pioneer's Game Changer: The New CDJ-2000

Here's my DJ website: http://www.DJYoBro.com
