Insomniac Does Dubstep - Nocturnal Wonderland

Rallying off the incredible success of Electric Daisy Carnival, Insomniac has now thrown its full force behind its Fall massive, Nocturnal 2009. Yeah, it might be lacking the depth and have a less than desirable San Bernardino location, but the lineup is top notch and brings something Socal has been in dire need of, quality dubstep. Combining trance superstar Ferry Corsten, house legends like Paul Oakenfold, and up and coming electro and dubstep artists like Skream!, Nocturnal is one of the most interesting and thought provoking festivals to hit Southern California in years. Add to it the quality and security of an Insomniac event, and you've got yourselves a cant miss event. I was able to track down a ton of live sets from some of the headliners so be sure to download them and get ready for a night your wont soon forget.

A HARD Homecoming - 2 Days, The Shrine, and the Bloody Beetroots

Two big announcements came to us on Tuesday; the first that HARD Haunted Mansion would be returning home to the Shrine (yes...) and the second that the Bloody Beetroots, the dirties duo in electro, would be added to the lineup. Having previously been ruled out due to an event in Montreal, the guys at HARD pulled a fast one on all of us and extended the event another day which freed up the pair to the benefit of us all. Now that so many questions have been answered its time to get down to business having fun. To help celebrate the homecoming and the addition of one of electros finest, I’ve posted mixtapes and live recordings from some of Friday’s best.

And one big question remains: Will we get a Soulwax add?
